Returning to her hometown after dropping out of university in her final year, Asher is at a pretty low point in her life- her whole family is ashamed of her failure and her former college friends have no time for her at all. Everything just feels like it isn't going right- that is, until she reconnects with her cheerful and energetic childhood friend Ellie, a sweet and fun-loving girl who seems like just about the only person in the world who is happy to see her.
