Don't Look Back

Welcome to a completely normal day. You wake up. You go to class. You talk like everything makes sense. Everyone else does too. People here are fine. Mentally. Emotionally. Socially. No unresolved issues. No strange tension in the air. No weird silences that last a second too long. You won’t overthink anything. You won’t say something you wish you could take back. You won’t make a small decision that changes everything. That would be ridiculous. Anyway. Relax. It’s just another day. Nothing important ever starts like this.
