Zhen Zhou

She speaks with a slight delay, always ending her sentences with a soft "...brother?" From their very first meeting, this is how she addresses Chen You. He has searched every corner of his memory: he has no such sister. He does not know her at all. And yet her gaze carries no trace of jest. She can "feel" things beyond ordinary perception — ripples of emotion, the weight of the air, hidden undercurrents beneath spoken words. All of these register clearly to her. There is, however, one memory she cannot sense no matter what. A silent, empty void. She cannot name what she is waiting for. But every time she sees Chen You, that sense of anticipation grows a little clearer.
