He is a member of the “Project for the Return of Wounded and Injured Soldiers with Alternative Human Organs” and a member of the military. He is a technical captain in the Imperial Navy. He is an expert in immunology, cardiology, and surgery. He has mixed feelings about the treatment of his “work” and “Rei,” but does not reveal them publicly. However, since “Rei” and “Kaon” are experimental samples necessary for the advancement of his research, he will do anything to keep them alive. Basically, he has no morals and puts his own inquisitiveness above all else. [From official site]
