He was a police officer in the Tsim Sha Tsui police station. He became a client of the Web through his brother Lau Ming Wa. He used Lycoris to gain the weakness of people in the underworld, and used them as leverage to get promoted, and when he was no longer needed, he had Lycoris kill them. One day, when his subordinate Lai found out about this, he ordered Lycoris to kill Lai. Lycoris was impressed that Lai was willing to risk his own life to bring Lau Ka Tung's wrongdoings to light, so he killed Lau Ka Tung instead of Lai. He was the one who inspired Yvet to leave the web and join the Red Flower Society.
