However, we encountered several issues:

First of all, many people misunderstood the usage of the resource area. The provision of resource links actually allows pages from other websites to be directly provided as resource links.

Note, it's the page, not the game download link. This means you can do the following:

However, please note that the above situation does not constitute hotlinking.

Because we are directing users to a login-free download page, which does not require any thresholds, the download link is on the inherent webpage of another site.

Why do we do this?

Because other websites will place advertisements or promotional links on their download pages. Directing users to the download pages of other sites does not lead to a loss in the number of ad views on those sites, meaning it does not affect their ad revenue.

Moreover, the ad views generated by users entering the home pages of other websites will be offset by the ad views generated by our users on the resource pages of those websites.

In this way, the overall revenue is balanced, and our approach does not negatively impact other websites.

That said, it is also absolutely appropriate and compliant for users to provide their own game cloud storage or magnetic download links.

So what constitutes hotlinking?

This situation is hotlinking.

As you can see, the download link from another site was directly copied over, without changing the extraction password or recompressing, which is a complete act of hotlinking!

This will significantly impact the promotion and ad revenue of other sites. We are determined to prevent such behaviors when publishing resources!

Downloading Galgame Resource Links

Recently, there seems to be an incident of poisoning on Galgame resource websites. Simply put, do not download resource links with the extraction password iron_horse.

We have just checked the resource links and found no links with the same extraction password.

Since our website is completely open, it is very susceptible to such attacks and cannot be controlled because we have no thresholds.

Therefore, we can only ask everyone to download credible resources, such as links with high likes or links provided by users who have published a large number of resources.

edit: unfortunately non-chinese people dont have access to baidu, but i'll do the possible to put hotlinks (direct links) to the game files

Hey my friend, I'm very sorry for the confusion caused to you.

This regulation refers to not allowing the addition of paid resource links and directly stealing links from other websites' pages.

However, if a website allows direct download of game resources without logging in, it is permissible to directly place the website page in the resource link.

Moreover, it is not necessary to access Baidu to fill in the game introduction. Our game introduction is directly obtained from VNDB, so when you publish a game, after clicking the fetch button to get the game introduction, you can publish the game without filling in the game introduction.
